If you always wanted to be part of a missions trip but don't want to travel abroad - Kairos is the answer. Kairos is a Christian, lay-led, ecumenical, volunteer, international prison ministry in which men and women volunteers bring Christ's love and forgiveness to North incarcerated individuals and their families.

Kairos volunteers come from all walks and strata of life. As a part of a Kairos team, go to Where We Serve and contact the Advisory Council Chairperson to inquire about how you can get involved, Not all team members serve inside correctional institutions. Kairos Outside weekends are usually held at church camps (and similar facilities). Check out the Where We Serve page for more information on locations.

Each Kairos retreat weekend has opportunities for outside support, such as baking cookies, writing letters of support, or preparing meals. Get your church's Sunday school classes to color placemats for mealtime in prison. Email our Agape Chairperson for more details or if you have questions.
